Incorrect invoice amount for multiple pets
I have a client with two dogs and two cats set for a four-night stay. Base rate is $70, additional dogs are $35, and additional cats are $5, so it should be $115 per night (70 + 35 + 5 + 5) and the total should be $460, but the invoice calculates at $440 ($110 per night). Am I missing something, or is it not calculating the second cat? Attaching a few screenshots to make sure I’m not missing anything.

Just a quick update on this while I’m thinking about it. The fix for this has been made; however, since the upcoming Staff Management update also includes changes to how surcharges work, I’m going to release everything together to make sure it all works smoothly.

Hey @Autumn Welles . Thanks for letting me know about this. @Garrett Lockhart is close in that the system is considering it as a booking with one additional dog, and one additional cat ($70 + $35 + $5), instead of one additional dog, and two additional cats.
The problem with calculating it as you expect is that there isn’t currently a way to identify which are the extra pets in this scenario 🤔. Are the extra pets 1 dog and 2 cats (with the first dog included), or are the extra pets 2 dogs and 1 cat (with the first cat included)?
Basically, there are three scenarios to interpret this:
The current system way. 1 dog and 1 cat priced normally, 1 dog and 1 cat priced extra ($70 + $35 + $5)
The way you expect. 1 dog priced normally, 1 dog and 2 cats priced extra ($70 + $35 + $5 + $5)
Another way. 1 cat priced normally, 2 dogs and 1 cat priced extra ($70 + $35 + $35 + $5)
Can I ask, do you always price the dog (or perhaps the most expensive extra pet rate) as the first pet in the booking?
Let me know if that makes sense. As I thought about this more (hoping to give you a quick fix), I discovered it’s a bit more complicated than it seems on the surface.
PS: If you didn’t already know, you can manually adjust the additional pet rates for invoices to match what you expect.

Correct, I calculate it as the most expensive pet should be first! I have a base rate for pet sitting - $70/night, no matter the pet - and anything else is extra: dog or cat (or critter). I figure I’m already there, so any additional pets are discounted, since the drive time and my time is already accounted for. I definitely see how it can get confusing!
I did adjust the pricing manually for this invoice since I saw I was able to do that.

It looks like the additional cat isn’t accounted for, could it be toggle in the first screenshot “Apply to all additional pets after #2”; maybe it bundled both cats into the $5 because they would be the 3rd and 4th pets in the visit?
