Card on File / Autocharge

Goal: As a business, I want to securely collect and store client card details during intake or booking so I can charge clients on my own schedule or automatically, without chasing payments or re-requesting cards every time.

Scope:

• Card collection during intake and booking

  • Option to require or request a card on the intake form, online booking flow, or both

  • Cards stored securely via Stripe (no raw card data touches Scritches)

  • Clients can add, update, or remove cards from the client portal

• Manual charging from a saved card

  • Charge a saved card directly from an invoice or booking with one click

  • Option to charge the full invoice, a custom amount, or a partial amount

• Autocharge rules

  • Auto-charge when an invoice comes due, auto-charge a deposit at time of booking, etc.

  • Per-client overrides so some clients run on autocharge while others stay on manual
