Customizable Intake Forms & Vaccination Records

Hi Lucas,
It would be really important for me to be able to tailor the questions I ask pet parents for myself when they book with me and allow booking to be pending until I’ve been able to review the information that they share. I would also like to require vaccination record uploads. How can I do this with what is available currently?

This is a major reason I wanted to use a dog sitting specific tool vs a regular scheduling tool like acuity.

    I totally understand the need for this functionality, especially in your case of determining the right client fit. I'm currently working on a larger feature for customizable intake forms and document collection that will fit your needs & workflow perfectly. However, I am still a few weeks out from finishing this; I'm targeting a mid-September completion.

    In the meantime, a couple of workarounds might help you launch now without losing momentum:

    • You can set expectations up front by explaining key requirements (like vaccinations) in your “About Us” section on your booking page. That way, pet parents see them before booking.

    • You can also include these requirements in your client agreement so clients acknowledge them when they request.

    • If you’d like to gather more details after a booking is made, you can manually send a follow-up email with your specific questions and a request for document records. This step could also be streamlined with a free alternative like Google Forms.

    • Once intake is manually received, you can upload documents to the Document Center, as well as copy-paste question answers as a Client note (Client & Pets > Navigate to Client > Click Notes Tab > Click Add Note) so you're client info still stays organized in Scritches.

    This way, you’ll still be able to screen clients properly now, and then you can move over to the built-in intake forms once they’re live.
