Is there a way to send an estimate first, then once accepted their service is confirmed? Or is the point to send the invoice on the first day of service then adjust by the end of service?
Hey @Alexa Rabini . Scritches doesn’t currently have a separate “estimate” step. Right now, bookings can be confirmed, and invoices can be sent for deposits or full payment, with the ability to set invoice due dates. I’m curious, how do you envision/currently use an estimate before confirmation?

I’ve just always copied vet offices where I provide an estimate up front showing the services they are requesting then once they agree all details are correct then it converts to an invoice. I’m switching to you from Square if that helps you learn my old workflow.

One important difference with Scritches is that businesses cannot yet charge clients directly. All payments are always initiated by the client, whether that’s credit card, Venmo, cash, or anything else.
Because of that, an invoice in Scritches already acts more like an estimate than a charge. It’s essentially a clear summary of the services and pricing you’re requesting payment for, and the client chooses when and how to pay. Nothing is automatically charged or pulled from them.
Most businesses will confirm the booking, send the invoice with a due date or deposit if needed, and treat that as the “review and agree” step. If details change after the service, the invoice can still be adjusted before or after payment is recorded.
