Hourly Booking Lead Times

I want to be able to set booking lead times in hours (e.g., 6 hours) rather than just days. Currently, the system only allows for day-based lead times, which is too restrictive for services that could be booked with shorter notice. This is important because it would allow for more flexibility in filling last-minute openings while still ensuring enough preparation time.

HI @Lucas Stefanski I dont know why the bot decided submit a request without me suggesting it or confirming it. It promised never to do that again😅 . I do have a few related questions though… I was reading a “best practices,” “set up” info page that the bot had provided a link to and came across a section that i think was called advanced notice, which said we could set the number of hours before a service that a client can book, and gave examples like 4 hours before the service…Could you just confirm that we can’t set the exact number of hours before a client can book a service? It also read that setting 0 days was for “emergencies” and i think it showed “(2-4 hours)” next “0 days.” It seemed like maybe it was suggesting that clients be allowed to book on the same day up until 2-4 hours before the service. Is there any buffer between when they can book and the start of the service if we choose 0 days or can they book online up until a a minute before the start of the window they choose? i.e. Its’s 9:59am and a client has booked a dog walk in a window that starts at 10:00am? Thanks!

Ha, yea the bot can definitely hallucinate sometimes. Combine that with an incomplete help center, and you get some interesting responses. I’m considering changing bots/help centers sometime in the near future and finally tackling the sore help center state.

To be clear, 0 days translates to the entire same day being available. There is no consideration of what time of day it is, so a client could theoretically book a Service Window that has already passed, e.g. it’s currently Mon 7 PM, and they are allowed to book Mon 8:30 am.

Being able to book service windows that have already passed is an oversight on my part. It would be ideal if the “hours before” were configurable. I think, at least, a default buffer time of x hrs before a service window should be in place, along with not allowing the clients to book in the past, lol.
