International address and phone number support

Feature Request

To support International users please allow all international phone numbers and do not make the US States a required field to save an address. if it helps, on a lot of sites and forms the states are replaced with the equivalent in the selected country. So for example I am in Cambodia and the states dropdown shows the 20+ provinces here instead on of the US states.

To be specific, on the My organization page i could not save a phone number and on the clients booking page on the web was unable to save any info because the number is seen as wrong and it replied with an error saying to complete the required field and doesnt save anything that was entered.

Oh the issue with the phone is it only accepts 1 digit for the country code (many countries are 2 or 3 and then it expects a valid US area code inside the parenthesis, i.e. +1(215)9xx xxx8. My Cambodian number with the country code is +855 70 xxx xx8 and it looked like this when i typed it in +8 (557) 0xxx xx8.

I’m really bummed to find this out because i was starting to think I found the software ive been looking for to replace TTP. But if it’s only built for US numbers and addresses I cant use it.

    @PSPP KH can I also ask what currency you use for your business at the moment? Right now, localization is tied to selected currency, e.g. if you accept british pounds, the british phone number and formatting will be used. However, it would need to be different if someone plans to use, for example, US dollars for a business based outside of the US.

      Hi Lucas, I accept US dollars and Cambodian Riel. They are both the official currencies of Cambodia and accepted everywhere. For your app there’s no need to make Riel an option, just use dollars, its easier and expected as far as clients go.

    Hey @PSPP KH , it’s awesome to hear that you're looking at Scritches from Cambodia! I am still discovering the market for software of this kind outside of the US, and I definitely want to support other countries (up to a certain degree). Though I don’t plan on supporting language translation outside of English, I definitely want to support international phone number/address formatting where I can, and I’d be happy to add in Cambodia to this.

      Hi, thanks so much for getting back to me. Yeah, most people speak, read and write some level of English here, plus with translations apps, using an app like Scritches works fine with locals and with the English speaking expats, like myself, who are my target market.

      I appreciate your willingness to to do this. For phone numbers there is one thing, the country code is +855 and that is followed by either 8 or 9 digits.

      for addresses the format is

      “no.” or “#” followed by 1, 2 3 or 4 digits that might also have some letters after them, example #78oe

      then “st.” or “street” + the street number (i.e. st.197) or just the name of the street (i.e. Monivong Blvd)

      so an address might read:

      no. 122ab street 197

      or #122ab Monivong Blvd

    Correction: my bad, on the My Organization page the states are optional and it wont save the phone number correctly, it looks like l typed it in my post above.
