Visit start and end time on report cards
Hi! I want move my business over to Scritches and recently sent a Google form to my clients to see what features matter most to them.
One thing that came up consistently was wanting to see the start and end time of each visit (surprisingly GPS location/walk route wasnt a priority). I do a lot of walks and pet sitting visits, so this totally makes sense to me and lines up with how clients think about care and trust.
I’ve been looking through the report cards and don’t see that information displayed clearly right now. Is showing the exact start and end time something that already exists and I might be missing, or is it something planned for the future? Thank you!

Record check-in and check-out times in report cards

Having the ability to “start” a visit and “end” a visit would be nice, and you build your report card during the visit. If that makes sense? Collecting timestamps for clients, basically. Visit started at 12:01. Scotty Pooped at 12:10. Etc.
The workaround I use for this right now is I added “visit began” and “visit ended” as checklist items for my visit, then I fill in the time on the notes.

Thank you. This is a good workaround.

Hey @Steph W . Interesting to hear GPS isn’t a priority, that surprises me as well!
Currently, the scheduled start & end times are displayed on the report:
However, I understand this may differ from actual start & end times. E.g. the walk is scheduled for 12:30pm, but you arrive at 12:32pm.
Just to be clear, is this discrepancy what you’re noticing missing?

That is correct. I currently schedule in two hour blocks and do not run such a tight schedule that I can always guarantee an exact arrival time. For example, a 12:30 appointment could realistically occur closer to 1:15.
Many of my clients have had negative experiences with sitters in the past, and it takes time to build trust. Knowing that I arrive when I say I will and stay for the agreed upon time is a big part of alleviating that anxiety.
Re the gps location and walk route - I only got 5 replies to my survey but they all unanimously indicated that this was “unimportant”. I’m unsure the breakdown of petsitting vs dog walking as it was anonymous and I didn’t think to ask about their pets and services on the survey.
