Client Contacts (Multi-owner household)

Feature Request

Add specialised “contact” records to clients. This will allow for:

  • Tracking multiple owners of pets (spouses, families, etc.)

  • Better tracking of emergency contacts

  • Multi-login pet parent portal accounts

  • Notifications sent to multiple contacts (payment requests, booking confirmations, etc.)

    Combine client accounts into a household with multiple mailing addresses

    I want to be able to combine two separate client accounts into a single household account so that they have one combined record where mail can be sent to both of their addresses. This would help in managing households where clients might have different primary addresses but share pet care responsibilities.

    Combine client accounts into a household

    I want to be able to combine two clients in the household so they have one combined account where mail gets sent to both addresses. This is important for managing families or shared pet ownership.

      The other piece of this would be a section in the parent portal to add spouse or housemate contact information. I keep having clients put their spouse as their emergency contact, which is not helpful in an emergency if I cannot contact them. And then I replace that but there is nowhere other than notes for that contact info.

      I would also like this! It would be great to be able to send report cards/etc to both spouses! It would be great to be able to add a second email address.

    Listing multiple emergency contacts

    Is there a way to list multiple emergency contacts for a client/pet profile? I have clients currently that like to list several people in case one doesn't pick up, call the next, etc. or for different types of emergencies (i.e. call Mom for pet emergency, call Dad for house). It'd also be helpful to be able to list spouses or partners if they are also emergency contacts as well rather than just making notes. Thanks!

    Multiple Email addresses for Clients

    Right now we can only enter one email address for clients. It is not unusual for me to be asked to send email to both owners (spouses etc). If we could have that added to our client info, that would be AH-MAZING

    Multiple Owners

    May I request a feature to have multiple owners for one pet?

    This would be helpful for couples where they both manage the pet's care, or roommates whose pets I take care of together, but are two different people that may not always be willing to share an account. It would also be beneficial to have both people sign the client agreement forms rather than just the person who created the account.

      @meltrimble Sorry for the late response to this, and thanks for the request!

      I definitely see the value in this and would love to implement it; it seems to align more with how businesses actually interact with clients in the real world.

      Right now, I’ll be focused on bug fixes and larger feature work for a while, but I can start designing & scoping out this improvement in the background!

    Adding a Spouse

    Most of my clients are married and I would love to be able to add their spouse into the system. Like maybe when you are adding a new client, to have a section for “spouse information” where they can also get their own login, or at least i would have the option to email them both visit reports, booking confirmations etc if needed.

      I call this “Secondary Owner” in my own record keeping. Usually a spouse, but sometimes a boyfriend/girlfriend or even a parent or adult child who lives in the same house. It also prompts people to not list this person as their emergency contact, since they’ll often be traveling together.
